Drops Calls /Poor signal. Dropped calls and poor network signal strength can be subject to various factors. Areas with good network coverage in central and urban areas will work differently from areas that have fewer base stations and more distant network transmitters/receivers.The further you are from a base station the more power your handset will use to make up the signal, you may find your battery life will be affected. Handsets that regularly drop calls or have poor signal in central or known good network areas should be sent for testing and or repair

Poor / no audio. Audio can be affected by poor signal, environmental factors (Radio signals are subect to geographical and weather conditions ) and internal handset issues. Poor audio is sometimes confused with call or network issues. A common issue for audio is a build up of dust and material in earpiece and mic holes in the handsets casing ( You should check these are clean and free of any grit or dirt). Beaches may contain iron particles that are attracted to the speaker magnets, keep your handset away from and sandy and overly dusty condtions or anywhere where there may be a concentration of iron filings like workshops and building sites.

Charging and Short Battery Life. Always check your charger on a battery and handset that you know works fine. If you do not have a spare to test them on, stop by your local Dealer or retailer with the items and have them evaluate the items to another phone.

Battery Life is often impacted by how much time the display screen is active . The display consumes large amounts of power so if you do a lot of text messaging, game playing, or have your screen remain illuminated for longer periods of time the energy in your battery may drain quickly...

Prolonged use of SD cards, games, and WAP applications can impact battery life. Note: The longer you are on a call will drain your battery.

A second battery may be a good idea for active users.

It is important to consult the specified standby and talk times for your handset: Manufacturers talk and standby times are often based on ideal conditions so may vary. If you are far from a transmitter and making lengthily calls, your handset will use more power and will drain the battery quicker than normal.Telecom handset specifications are available at www.Telecom.co.nz.

It is always best to make sure the software (including ring tones) are accessed from a site that has been approved by either your Service Provider or the Manufacturer of your handset.
